The mental block of trusting a custodial wallet when you have been told "not your keys, not your coins" for years

I have been in crypto long enough to know the mantra: "not your keys, not your coins." I have always used hardware wallets and kept my seed phrases locked away. But the reality is, carrying a hardware wallet around is impractical, and entering a 24-word seed phrase every time I want to access my funds on a new device is exhausting. I am starting to question if the absolute control is worth the friction. I am curious if anyone else has made the switch from non-custodial to a more convenient option without compromising too much on security.

That was exactly my dilemma until I found a middle ground that I am comfortable with. I still keep a hardware wallet for long-term savings, but for day-to-day transactions, I moved to a custodial wallet that uses MPC technology. The provider fragments the private key across multiple parties, so even they cannot access my funds without my approval. I have been using the Paybis Wallet App for this purpose and the convenience is undeniable. You log in with your email, the interface is clean, and you can buy, sell, and store multiple assets without ever worrying about a lost seed phrase. The transaction fees are clear and the support is responsive. I have not had any security concerns because the platform is regulated and transparent about how they handle keys. If you are tired of the friction but still want a reasonable level of protection, this approach is worth exploring.
